Filipino | International Student | Seeing Canada through the lens of my camera
My first spring in Canada. I asked my aunt, “What are those beautiful yellow flowers in everyone’s lawn called, Tita?” “Oh they’re not flowers, son. Those are weeds. Soon those are gonna be lopped off by lawnmowers.” she answered. That still didn’t change how I see dandelions. I see them more like beautiful flowers, than weeds. I walked down to the park, picked a dandelion globe and blew all of its seeds off. It was magical! I felt like a kid again.
